Regular commercial milk is pooled from mixed hybrid breeds (yielding A1 beta-casein) and undergoes aggressive ultra-pasteurization, homogenization, and plastic pouch storage. Plastic pouches leach toxic phthalates and microplastics directly into milk fat.

Shrestam is fundamentally different: We source exclusively from pure-bred indigenous Gir and Sahiwal cows (100% A2 beta-casein). Our milk is delivered unadulterated in surgical stainless steel cans within 12 hours of morning milking, with native butterfat and bio-active enzymes completely intact.

Every single batch undergoes testing at our in-house chilling lab and third-party NABL-accredited facilities before morning dispatch. We test Fat % (4.2% - 4.8%), SNF (8.8% - 9.2%), pH (6.65), and run 8 chemical adulterant checks (Urea, Starch, Detergent, Neutralizers, Maltodextrin, Hydrogen Peroxide, Nitrates, and Antibiotic residues).

The certified report for the current day’s batch is published directly to our Live Milk Meter page and mobile app every morning at 5:00 AM.

We operate with strict Ahimsa cruelty-free principles. Our indigenous cows roam freely in open paddocks, graze on pesticide-free organic grasses and ayurvedic herbal supplements (Ashwagandha, Shatavari).

Calves drink their full share of mother’s milk before any milking occurs. Synthetic hormones, artificial lactation boosters, and preventive antibiotics are 100% prohibited.

Scientific tests prove that warm milk packed in LDPE plastic pouches absorbs microplastics and toxic endocrine disruptors. Waxed paper cartons are also lined internally with microplastic polymer films.

Shrestam uses food-grade AISI 304 Surgical Stainless Steel Cans. Steel is completely inert, chemically non-reactive, preserves the authentic farm aroma, and creates zero plastic landfill waste.

The exchange is seamless:

1. After emptying your milk, give the steel can a quick cold water rinse and place it in your doorstep hanging bag or outside your door.
2. Between 5:00 AM and 6:30 AM, our delivery agent picks up your rinsed can and leaves a freshly sealed, sanitized, cold can of milk.
3. Returned cans are transported to our automated washing line where they undergo high-pressure detergent sanitization and 120°C pressurized steam sterilization.

All morning deliveries occur between 5:00 AM and 6:30 AM every single day (365 days a year, rain or shine). You will have your fresh milk ready before you wake up for your morning tea or coffee.

Immediately after milking, the milk is rapidly chilled to 3.8°C in bulk milk chillers. It is then transported in refrigerated insulated trucks to our hyperlocal city depots.

Our delivery partners carry thermal insulated pouches with reusable eutectic freeze packs. The milk remains at ≤ 4°C right up to the exact second it is placed at your door.

Yes, you have 100% control! You can pause deliveries for 1 day or 1 month anytime through the Shrestam Mobile App or by messaging our WhatsApp concierge before 10:00 PM the previous evening. You will never be billed for paused days.

We support convenient payment options:

• Prepaid In-App Wallet: Recharge with UPI, debit/credit cards, or net banking. Daily deliveries are automatically deducted.
• Monthly Postpaid Subscription: An itemized invoice is generated on the 1st of every month.
• UPI AutoPay: Seamless automated renewals with zero manual effort.

Commercial dairies use mechanical high-pressure homogenizers that shatter fat globules to keep milk artificially uniform. Shrestam milk is unhomogenized.

When unhomogenized A2 cow milk is heated gently and cooled naturally, the rich, indigenous butterfat rises to the top, forming a thick, aromatic cream (malai) layer. This golden cream can be collected to prepare traditional cultured ghee or rich thick dahi at home.
